Top 5 Songs of June

IT’S JULY! MY FESTIVAL IS NEXT MONTH! HOLY FECKIN’ SHIT! SOMEONE STOP TIME! QUICK!
Let’s dive into June’s favourite’s shall we…. take our minds off that fact that 2019 is passing by quicker than a bus! :O ❤

Remember there is a YouTube playlist which includes all these wonderful songs from each month, and also a Spotify playlist which you can find via searching for ‘jodieharris15‘.

I find most of these songs by letting my Spotify just tell me what it recommends me, and these days it’s doing an epic job – I have discovered so many fantastic bands because of this little music app. If you want some tea, I honestly wouldn’t have discovered 90% of the bands on my festival if it wasn’t for Spotify… so thank you my special little green button that makes me happy on a daily basis ❤

TDC

BEHIND THESE WALLS – THOSE DAMN CROWS
“I know I’ve been chained to this roller-coaster…”

These Welsh beauties are of course playing my festival in the summer, and I cannot wait to see them live again. They played Download in the month of June of course and absolutely smashed it! These awesome dudes are also main support at my Nozfest (which there is less than 40 tickets left for – crazy!). They’ve played the 1865 before and completely blew the roof off the place, so I’m sure they are going to deliver in August. If you haven’t heard these guys or got around to seeing them live, you really should – they’ll definitely put a big smile on your face. Also, this song is an absolute tune and a classic! So many talented bands out there, fills my little heart with joy ❤
P.S I think I like this song a lot because when Shane sings “Roller-coaster”, you can hear the Welsh in his accent…. and I loveeeee that! ❤

Stone Broken

HEARTBEAT AWAY – STONE BROKEN
“Oh you’re just an animal, you’re just a beast without a spine, oh but you’re incredible…”

TUNE!! This is my theme tune for June! This song inspires me to achieve greatness so much – that riff and bass though – aahhhh, orgasmic! This band is incredible and if you haven’t heard of them yet, give this a listen to and it’ll blow your mind.
This band is brilliant to listen to if you love hearing and feeling the drum beat, and love a good guitar riff; along with a hint of Nickelback/Theory of a Deadman style vocals, this band really stand out when it comes to New Wave of Classic Rock, and I’d say this tune is a pretty epic place to start with.

65254910_721456898288309_8960783379964362752_n

NOTHING BUT TROUBLE – THE LAZYS
“A runaway freight train, you’re a beast they can’t defeat…”

MATE! I discovered this song at a time I needed to just scream, cry and let a load of anger out of my system… and by god this is an excellent song to do this to! Pretty sure I lost weight dancing to this song as well, not to mention neck-ache!
Now all I want to do is work with this band!! Guys if you read this, MESSAGE ME! I think you’re awesome ❤
Again, this is like a proper chant type of song – like sing it as loud as you can as a sort of “f*ck you” to everyone who’s ever put you down or done you wrong.

BF

PRISONER OF WAR – BIGFOOT
“Do you hear what you say, cos we’ve been here before…”

This is currently my jam at work – yaas!! I’m super excited to see Bigfoot at my festival! I think they are going to completely smash it if I’m honest, and I totally want to experience that, seeing as it’s one of their last ever gigs!!
Bigfoot were a band that took quite a while to grow on me, and it’s so annoying that just as I’m like “ooh I really like these guys, they’re actually super cool”, they’re calling it a day – typical! But I’m very proud and lucky to have them at my first ever festival, what an achievement!

MAssive Wags

BILLY BALLOON HEAD – MASSIVE WAGONS
“I have to space, for any other opinions, in my small brain…”

I LOVE THIS SONG!! I scream the chorus so fucking loud each time I listen to it, that I pretty much lose my voice! Don’t forget that the Wagons themselves are in fact headlining my first ever festival – NOZFEST! – and I can guarantee I will go absolutely mental if/when they play this song!
I’m pretty sure we all know a Billy Balloon Head as well… I know I do for sure!

DIRTY LOVE – THUNDER
“Chew me up, spit me out, you turned my whole world inside out…”

Isn’t this just like the perfect party tune! Glass of wine in hand, looking sophisticated in a tight deep red dress, with red hot lips and nude stiletto heels…… hmm? Sorry… getting carried away!! Or you know, being stood at a bar, when a lush dude looking proper 80’s walks in.. Jack Daniels in hand…………….. shut up Jodes!!! Makes you hungry for rock ‘n’ roll right? Who doesn’t love a good old school upbeat rock n roll party song – especially at this time of year. This song makes me want to show off all my tattoo’s and be a rock goddess 😉 I also feel like an awesome strong independent woman when I hear this…. “I don’t want your dirty, I don’t want you touching me” DAMN RIGHT! I don’t want to be in competition for attention, I love myself and I know my worth – I’m putting on a mother-trucking festival…. come on, I ain’t silly.
Is it just me, or is that riff very “T.Rex”? It’s very “Get It On”? Yeah? Nah?

p01bqjxj

THROWAWAY – MICK JAGGER
“If you leave me I’ll go frantic with cheap champagne, brief affairs and backstage love…”

I found this absolute gem whilst scrolling through Instagram! What a bloody banger!! See, even the Rolling Stones Princess hasn’t discovered everything yet. Damn, this is a blimmin’ good song. Pretty sure Jeff Beck is also on guitar… so that in itself is legendary. This tune has put faith back in myself, which I needed badly. So, thank you Mick to coming to my rescue again – you always know when to make an appearance again ❤
You know, Mick is really right… life is short man… go out there and get what you want – DO IT DO IT!!
This is a song that really does unleash my inner Jagger – I can’t resist getting dolled up in gorgeous dresses, throwing on a pair of heels, and some Jeffree Star make-up, and dancing round my room in bliss. Love it ❤

Massive Wagons

RED DRESS – MASSIVE WAGONS
“Red dress, wear the red dress take it off of me…”

Somehow I found this song at 4am one morning and it’s just stuck in my head. I love it so much ❤ I know a lot of Wagons have been mentioned this year, but I just can’t help it. This has definitely been one of those songs, that helps you get through the day – keeps your hopes up, lets you let your hair down, and hold back some tears that need to be cried. Wagons have been a band that have proper inspired me to chase my dreams this year, I’m so glad I discovered them – they are a band that have made me realise that I can be a bad ass independent woman, that can build an empire single-handidly and that I am brave even though I feel like I’m not. They’re a band that help me look myself in the mirror and think “yes, I’m doing okay, I got this” and make me feel comfortable in my own skin. It may sound silly to people, but that’s how powerful music can be!
I just want to personally thank them for making 2018 a year of achievements for me, and that they’ve helped me to like myself again…. I hope 2019 is just as jam packed with opportunities ❤

58176174c46fa

WHERE ARE YOU NOW – INGLORIOUS
“But he will tell you, and he will lie, it don’t surprise me, now watch him cry…”

This probably going to cause a stir due to recent events BUT…. let’s get over ourselves for a second and take time to appreciate that Inglorious are an amazing band. Life is short, we all make mistakes, we’re all human – lets leave any disputes there. This song is freakin’ rockin’! Been sticking this on when I need a “sorry, I’m too busy building an empire” moment. Yes dude, that’s right, I’m a young woman building a future… on her own! I’m no little girl who still needs her Daddy’s consent to do things, and you know what – I will totally be okay, because I don’t NEED anyone to make me happy, I am a strong independent woman, I’m the boss of my future… and I know exactly where I am heading.

Soil-Band

HALO – SOIL
“I will stone you, stone you, wrap my arms around you…”

I bet this a surprise to a few people! The guitar riff in this, along with the punchy bass line absolutely make this tune! It’s not always about the singers you know, it’s about the music as well. My tastes in music are evolving all the time, and I do really like heavier stuff as much as I love Paul Weller – however, this is probably as heavy as I’ll go.
This months Top 5 is pretty much me realising I am my own person – have you noticed? All these songs make me feel powerful, confident, that I can deal with anything thrown my way with my head held high. This one definitely reminds me that I’m not a child anymore, I don’t have a bed time or someone telling me I have to do my homework – I answer to myself, I have to finish my own deadlines, I have to keep my own promises, I have to plan my life around my work… most importantly, I am a woman now, not a girl, a woman… and I’m finally okay with that, and I adore the person I have become this year. She’s truly incredible, and I can’t believe that she is me ❤

JodieBowie : Create Your Own Rock Band

This idea just popped into my head, and I thought it would be a pretty cool blog topic. Play along as well of course!! Let’s see what kind of Rock Band I’d create 😉

First off, I think I’m going to go with a 5 piece – 2 guitarists, 1 frontman, 1 bassist, 1 drummer.

I’m also going to include people who are still alive and performing, as that sort of makes it more realistic. Can include any band, any genre, any popularity….. GO!

GUITAR 1
Ronnie Wood

ronnie-wood.png

Got to have Ronnie! He has the energy, the fun, the banter, the skills… he’ll fit right in. There has to be a legend among this line-up, and what greater legend than the man himself, the Rolling Stone!! I feel he’d be a delight to watch perform on stage, judging by my own experience of watching him. He’s also got such a passionate talent, and I love that when it shines through in musicians. I know for sure he could keep up with the youngsters, and maybe even teach them a thing or two! I personally love his personality, his image and most importantly his guitar sound – for that reason, he has to be in this band ❤

GUITAR 2
Kris Barras

5b1f81337a244

I could watch this dude play guitar for HOURS!! I’ve said so many times how talented he is, and for that reason he has to be in this band! Secondly, he’d be absolutely amazing at backing vocals, and I’m sure he could pull off some pretty epic solo’s with Ronnie Wood. I’m a huge fan of his guitar playing, it is so musically satisfying, his talent oozes out in every note he plays, and for me…. he’s captivating to watch as a musician. I think I’d share rhythm and lead duties between Barras and Wood, just because I adore both guitarists and want to hear both fully express their awesomeness.

BASSIST
Dougie Poynter

McFly-Dougie-Poynter-920x584

I think Dougie would fit in really well image wise, but he’s also an awesome live performer which is always important! Dougie can also sing backing vocals, so there should be some pretty sweet harmonies, one would hope. His energy would take this band to another level – if you haven’t seen him on stage…. he is FUCKING EPIC!! I’m a 100% positive he’d be able to work a crowd super hard, and would be a vital character when it comes to audience participation and boosting the energy in the room. He’d keep everyone on their toes, and work so well with the guitarists I’m sure.

DRUMMER
Kyle Hughes

maxresdefault

Another excellent choice image wise, in my opinion. He’s also a brilliant drummer, and I really enjoy watching him perform. He constantly looks like he’s having fun, and a good time, as well as expressing his passion – vital points to be a musician in this band. It’s good to know he is also capable of helping out on backing vocals; always helpful! I feel he has power, ambition and drive and would work amazingly with Dougie when it comes to the rhythm section of the band.

FRONTMAN
John Corabi

jonCorabi500 (1)

Absolutely 100% has to be fronted by John Corabi ❤ His voice is everything! Especially when it comes to rock ‘n’ roll. He can take any song and make it sound beautiful – that is something I love, adore and look for in vocalists. A voice that lets me fade away into a blissful tone of loveliness. I enjoy his stage presence, I think he’s got a wonderful rugged image, he can reach some incredible notes vocally, and he can also sing soft slow songs absolutely beautifully.

BAND NAME : LEGENDS!

10 Songs that HAVE to be on the setlist :
1. Sweet Emotions – Aerosmith

2. What Goes Around – Dead Daisies

3. Midnight Rambler – The Rolling Stones

4. Rockin’ In The Free World – Neil Young

5. Feel Like Makin’ Love – Bad Company

6. Mama Weer All Crazee Now – Slade

7. Paper Plane – Status Quo

8. Enter Sandman – Metallica

9. Ooh La La – The Faces

10. Bohemian Rhapsody – Queen

Oh my gosh – I friggin’ love this band I’ve created! Imagine if it was real – would be so damn epic!! I think visually and musically this would be a pretty great band. Got some awesome musicians in there, who give their upmost energy when it comes to performances, as well as them all being incredibly talented. ❤

SO! What did you think of my very own Rock Band? Any members a surprise to you? Good, bad? Let me know!! And have a go yourselves, I’d love to know what you’d come up with ❤

A LITTLE RESPECT – ERASURE
“I’m so in love with you, I’ll be forever blue…”

I’m not entirely sure why, but this song has been on my repeat list a lot. “Just one more time!!”. Makes me feel quite giddy I guess, like I have to have a little bop around my room…. helps to de-stress. I said my music tastes are random!!! I guess it helps me to feel less sad and lonely. Genuinely makes me wanna dance around smitten as a kitten……… if only ‘ey!!

Kix-Brooks-Ronnie-Dunn-portrait-2007-billboard-1548

HILLBILLY DELUXE – BROOKS & DUNN
“Burn a little rubber when the red lights change…

No word of a lie, but this was my favourite song when I was in Year 8 (about 11 or 12 years old). Yep, when all my friends were singing about something to do with apple bottoms and jeans…. I was rocking out to some Brooks & Dunn. It’s made it into my top 5, as me and Dad were having a bit of a heart to heart one night after he had a lot of Captain Morgan, playing “trucker” songs… and this little gem came back up. It’s such a tune, how can one not be into it? Makes you wanna wear a cowboy hate, play a banjo and be a cowgirl and organise a bomb fire party with a bunch of equal misfits.

Barras-44471.jpg

PROPANE – KRIS BARRAS BAND
“Strike up a match and try to burn me down…”

I can see myself travelling miles to see this guy play! Think I know exactly what I’ll be spending my Christmas money on – get me to those gigs!! ❤ He is such an inspiring musician, especially to listen to and watch. Kris Barras’ music is really helping me cope on a day to day basis really, lifting my spirits – like I say he’s a very inspiring musician, and his vocals on this track are stunning! He’s got such a smooth, beautiful voice, I love it when bands are just so passionate and focused on the music and you can definitely see that with Kris Barras and his band. I totally recommend checking him out if you’re a little bored of your usual, or want something a bit more blues roots.

DON’T GIVE A DAMN – THOSE DAMN CROWS
“Talk all you like, think what you want of me…”

This banger came up as a suggested whilst I was on the way to work. Instantly had to hit the replay button. Such an incredible energy, all to a hard hitting riff that grabs you. Fantastic!
This month, after 22 years, my family finally decided to disown me. At first, it really hurt and it still does to an extent, but they never liked me or believed in me anyway… this was a song that made me listen to the words and give me a shed of confidence I needed to not give up. I still have a Mum and Dad, but my Nan and co want nothing more to do with me. Why? At first I thought it was because of the whole rock ‘n’ roll thing, I can remember being a young child and being shut in a separate room from my cousins at my nan’s house if I wanted to listen to ‘my music’; however, as I have grown up I have become more and more like my Dad, and they don’t like that one bit… so I have to go. Back to the song…. “I don’t give a damn, say what you want, say what you want to me“, “me and my mistakes pay the price“, because they are the ones that are losing out… not me. Blood means nothing when music is a passion.

queen-portrait-circa-1975-billboard-1548

THE SHOW MUST GO ON – QUEEN
My make-up may be flaking, but my smile still stays on…”

I saw Bohemian Rhapsody the other night, and it completely blew my mind! Even had me tearing up at the end.
I feel like such a dipstick for underrating them so much – they really all were such clever and phenomenally talented musicians who also truly cared about their fans. Honestly couldn’t stop saying “wow”. Made me really appreciate how lucky I am to have musicians who are talented in my life – I love working with bands, and I totally see bands in the same way as this movie portrays Queen. Mesmerizing.
Go and see the film, even if you don’t like Queen – it’ll open your eyes to so much inspiration and a whole different way of seeing not just Freddie Mercury, but musicians in general. ❤

I hope you’ve enjoyed this months top 5 and perhaps found another hidden jem that you’ll listen to as well 🙂 Music is so important, and so wonderful. It truly is a talent and an inspiration.

JodieBowie : My First Rock Night!

Come on, I’ve totally got to share with you how my first ever JodieBowie Rock Night went! Are you excited?!!

Rock Night Banner

So, I’ve been putting on ‘Rock Nights’ in New Milton for the last 4 years? This year, I decided I wanted to do my own, without any attachment to a ‘company’. I wanted to hire a venue, book the bands I wanted… and see what happens.

I approached the Talking Heads in Southampton back in February with an idea, and they were more than happy for my idea to be a reality.
Here we are! My first Rock Night under “JodieBowie”, featuring Saints of Sin, Our Propaganda and The Wilderpeople ❤

38880569_443281126192224_3303780309706735616_n

I do indeed love The Wilderpeople, if you read my blogs you may have seen me mention them a few times. They’re a bit different, quirky – in my opinion, but definitely worth checking out.

Can’t really fault Our Propaganda in all honesty – they are just absolutely on top of their game. Again I missed parts of their set as I was busy fluttering around, but they performed new songs which seemed to be well received, and finished with “Hey Brother” which is a fave of mine, and they absolutely blitzed it! I’m so proud of those guys and everything they do.

39024274_10160955592500311_1439742959686778880_n

Saints of Sin + Crowd

I didn’t get to see Saints of Sin’s set as I was busy chatting away outside, it’s amazing what you find out when you ask around! Also really lovely to hear kind words of support and advice from the bands I was talking to. Means a lot and it’s very much appreciated. I’m also glad some of my advice/personal comments were also appreciated.

The atmosphere was totally amazing! Everyone seemed very happy and very excited and loved each and every band – always a great sign!

38860585_2173590902856254_6162232417022115840_n.jpg  39070658_1786641148039878_7725414158430109696_n

Also have to say a massive thank you to Holly for helping me out on the door and being generally amazing, positive and supportive – I cannot thank you enough ❤
To sum it all up… it was absolutely unbelievable – completely out the realms of the expectations!

I did get emotional at the end, happy tears were very much flowing! Just cannot believe the crowd, the atmosphere, how many people were encouraging me and knew me, the bands were incredible…. just couldn’t get any more perfect. Here’s to many more!!!

This is something that I definitely want to keep doing in the future, and I’m very slowly but surely getting noticed. My next JodieBowie Rock Nights are as follows :
– 2nd November @ The Stage Door – TBA
– 29th March @ The Heartbreakers – TBA
P.S there’s talks of me putting on some shows in Wales so make sure you do stay updated with what I am doing & don’t miss out!!

Twenty One years Single!

Ah come on! I think it’s about time I wrote a cheesy mooshy lovey dovey gross blog!

Snapchat-268180281

If you didn’t already know………….. I’M NOT A PRINGLE ANYMORE!!
I has officially and finally got myself a boyfriend, and this is my first actual relationship.

I think how we met is pretty cute, as well as freaking awesome!
We met at The Talking Heads in Southampton on the 14th February whilst he was on a UK tour with Marco Mendoza of the Dead Daisies. I actually went up to him at the end of the show, I’m not entirely sure why, and asked how old he was…. and then walked off.
We added each other on Facebook…………. and the rest is kinda history really!

17505832_1508964022448226_881570723_n

His name is Jack, he lives in Wales and is a year older than me. He is also in a band called ‘Kane’d’. We first properly met at a ‘Stop Stop’ gig in Swansea.

I wont lie and say we haven’t a rough start for our first 5/6 months… but we make it work. We’ve both been hurt in the past, and for me as this being my first ever relationship, I sometimes find it hard as now it’s not just me by myself anymore, and I’ve lived 21 years by my self; but I think we’ll be okay.

I never really realised that being in a relationship would change my life as much as it has. I thought that being in a relationship would be the same as being single, except you’d have someone else to do things with. Hmm… it’s a little more complex than that. First of all you develop feelings for the other person, then you get attached, and it gets to the point where you just want to be and do everything with that one person. That’s what happened to me anyway. You begin to talk about them all the time, and they become an important part of your life. For me, my life is 50% work 50% Jack!

Snapchat-422440721

The first people to properly meet him, and sort of see this relationship begin as it were, are the boys and fans of ‘Stop Stop. That makes me so happy! To think my fave band were there when all this sort of started to happen, is super special. I love how they all ask about him and treat him just like everyone else. I’m so proud of that band, and Jack, so it’s great that they all get along super well 🙂
On that note, my Dad likes Jack, my Mum likes Jack… all my friends like Jack! Good sign.

Finishing off… am I happy? Yes, I am a very happy bunny. I get quite upset when we are apart, but together… I’m happy! I has a person who likes me, and hasn’t left me yet, yaayy! Twenty one whole years single…………….. guess I was waiting/looking for the right guy…. and also have pretty high standards haha 😉

Jack, this message is just for you…
I love you. So much. I promise I’m not going to hurt you. You are my best friend and the person I need 99% of the time, you do everything for me and I honestly do not deserve someone who loves me as much as you do; you are the first and only person I have ever felt safe with. You’re MY human, MY babey and MY boyfriend. I can’t imagine a me without you. I hope we have a bright and positive future together ❤

Peace out love birds!

The Gig Guide – The Basics

If you are a typical girly girl or care about your appearance when you go to a concert, you may have come to the right place. Now, I’m not going to tell you to spend ten hours getting your hair and make up down, and wearing a proper fancy dress… no. I’m going to tell you how to be Rock ‘n’ Roll!

Some things I am going to discuss in the blog:
– Outfits
– Underwear
– The Atmosphere
– Define whether you are a Mod or a Rocker

I have decided to write a blog series, where each week I will post a gig guide for a specific genre or concert etc. So if you are going to a particular concert and are stuck on flamboyant ideas give me a shout (search Jodie Harris Photography on Facebook) and I shall dedicate a blog to helping you!

This blog series is inspired by my love of music and dedication to looking the part. I have also been watching a series on BBC4 called “Oh You Pretty Things!” and I think this fashion cult culture still exists, in the youth as well as the old time rock ‘n’ rollers. Lastly, someone directed an insult at me saying that I take ‘5 hours’ to get ready… would just like to say “it takes me weeks if not months because I carefully construct what I am going to wear and want to make an impression – so forgive me for not throwing on some cheap tat from Asda and going out looking like I’m going daily shopping”.

If you know me well enough you’ll know that I’m a sucker for rock icons such as David Bowie, Marc Bolan, Freddie Mercury, The Rolling Stones, Boy George, The Who, The Faces, The Small Faces, Suzi Quatro the list goes on and on. I’m also partial to a bit of Suede as well. I have a part of my wardrobe which is just ‘stage’ wear/gig outfits.

Performing "20th Century Boy" with Clives Rockschool

Performing “20th Century Boy” with Clives Rockschool

This is me. On stage. Combining my love of Marc Bolan and Suzi Quatro with a bit of myself thrown in. I was 14 in the picture, I’m now 18 so my dress sense and make up skills have improved – so you wont look like a clown if you follow my advice.

Take on Mick Jagger by David Bailey. Won AUB photography competition

This self portrait was inspired by a photo which David Bailey took of Mick Jagger in the 1960’s. I entered this picture into a photography competition that was judged by Rankin… and it won! My portrait got displayed in a London art gallery, on a billboard on Tottenham Court Road and another four billboards around my local area in the New Forest/Hampshire.

This is a look that I had to create for a 1970’s photo shoot I was doing for my photography coursework in Year 12. David Bowie inspired make up, along side the Marc Bolan feather boa, and very retro snake skin boots.

Normal everyday wear 2014

Normal everyday wear 2014

Even when I’m out in a normal everyday situation, I still dress in a classy rock ‘n’ roll way. I like to think of myself as a sophisticated rock ‘n’ roller. Meaning I dress rock ‘n’ roll, but I stick a blazer over the top to smarten it up a bit. Simple when you know how!

I used to skip school in Year 11 to do photo shoots of myself dressing up in new outfits for gigs either of my own, or one I am attending. I have always been a massive tart. Here I am modelling the latest trends in Primark. It was too….. girly for me! I prefer black!

Being a musician/performer myself, I’m not scared or timmed about trying new exciting fashion ideas! So what if people look or stare. Be Bold! And be yourself!

I am breathing in a lot in this photo, and I am no longer this slim! I did actually go out in this outfit, so I’m not phased by anything. If I get noticed, that’s a good thing. You can probably see that David Bowie is on my TV; I was a massive Bowie nerd back then.

Dressed as Mick Jagger – Hyde Park 1969

Hopefully you have taken a liking to my ideas. I have improved a lot since my early Teen years. I have have a 1950’s dress that cost around £60.

Right so outfits!
You must make sure that the outfit is suitable to do a fair bit of jiggling around in. That is if you are planning on strutting your moves. However, you still want to look as stylish and cool as possible without looking like you shouldn’t be there. If in doubt, leather jacket, leggings and red lipstick. It goes with every gig possible. You are also going to get very sweaty, so you need something that will flow around your body that’s not going to cling to you.
The shoes – heels are absolute killers, but are a sort of necessity. Find a really lovely comfy and stylish pair of heels that are not too high that you can’t walk, wedge heels are the best because your feet wont ache and you wont lose balance if you are rocking out hard core.
The underwear! Well us girls need over the shoulder bolder holders, but for gigs (unless your planning on sleeping with the band members) you need a bra which will hold everything in. Make sure your straps are tight so they wont keep falling down your arm every 20seconds. DO NOT wear a strapless bra, because by the end of the night, your bra will be around your waist! It also needs to be a comfortable bra so you don’t feel really tight and squashed in. Sports bra’s are really good, or shape bras that are under-wired. No one really wants to see a pair of tits flying round in circles… well frisky men do! But you look more attractive with the less you reveal. Top top there LESS YOU REVEAL = MORE ATTRACTIVE

The make up!
Primer. Do not put anything on your face without a primer, because by the end of the night, it would of run down your face from the amount of sweating you have been doing.
I usually wear foundation because I want to hide my ugly areas. I will always put powder over the top though as this will help foundation to stay.
Gel liner will be your best friend, or khol. These liners don’t slide down your face! However, if you are putting on your bottom waterline, make sure to put on your lash line as well, as once the liner has disappeared from your waterline, your lash line will still be there.
Eyeshadow primer is also a must! This will help your eyeshadow to stay in place. Make sure to use cream shadows though, as this will stay on longer and also wont make a mess like the powders do. A good tip though is you can use cream shadows has as base for your powered eye shadows. Lipstick… never consider any other colour apart from RED. The classiest and most rock ‘n’ roll colour you can get and suits every genre of music etc. RED IS BEST.
P.S Another important make up tip is to always carry around some clear lip gloss. It just gives a shine to your lips, which is better than nothing. Also if your red lipstick (or whatever colour) has faded, the lipgloss will just add a little something 🙂

Now for the atmosphere. There is going to be a lot of pushing, shoving and jumping around. So remember to stand your ground, or even better, just join in! If you’re going to a gig and you’re either sitting down or standing around like a lemon, you’re not going to enjoy the show. HAVE FUN. Let lose. You’re never going to see the people around you again, unless you see the band multiple times and make friends with the fans… and then you’ll have grown in confidence. People notice people who don’t follow the crowd. If you’re out there having the time of your life, singing a long, dancing away without a care in the world… you’ll have the most awesome time. I’m always singing the loudest and dancing the hardest, and I get rewarded because people will either come up to me and say how good I look or how cool it is to see such a young fan having so much fun. Sometimes even the band members notice me! I saw Great Pretender for my 18th at Mr.Kyps and me and the man who plays Freddie had a lot of fun playing up to each other. Rollin’ Stoned – Byron Jones often plays up to me or comes over and does something flirty which Brian Jones would of done… and Mick Jaguar often sings or points at me. It’s all part of the show, and it’s fantastic fun!

There is absolutely no point in going to a concert if you’re not going to look the part, and have a good time.

“Above all else, look good” – Darryl Jones of The Rolling Stones.

Find me on Facebook and message me what bands you are going to see or the genre of music you are into, and I shall write a gig guide especially for you! 😉
